My Australian divorce valid for US K1?
I am a Filipina living here in Manila and divorced to my Fil-Aussie ex husband. He filed for it in Australia and was granted this year. We actually didn’t live together coz after the supposedly “secret wedding” last 2005, he flew back to Oz and never came back.
Now, I have a boyfriend who is based in the US and he’s planning to file for K1 visa for me.. My question is, will the US Embassy here in Manila consider my Divorce Decree from Australia, as a Proof of Termination of previous marriage?
