Spiritual Life After Death
Why would you raise someone in any faith if you don’t believe in life after death?
Recently, I read where the actress Natalie Portman, who is Jewish, does not believe in life after death but said that if she ever gets married and has kids, she wants them raised Jewish. I can’t figure that out. Why would anyone even care to raise their kids in any faith at all if they don’t believe in life after death? Why not just live a normal moral life? What value do such people think there is in raising their kids as Jewish, Christian, Muslim (or any other religion) and trying to live a spiritual life when they don’t believe in the Resurrection?
I guess they figure they can have an abundant life while they’re on earth. I don’t know why they think God just dumps them into some abyss and forgets about them.
