How long does it take for a divorce to show up and be reported to public records?
I’m dating this guy who says he’s been divorced a few months, but when i ran a check, only his marriage shows up, “no divorce record found”
A divorce is first recorded, then they send you the paperwork about a month later. Once you have it, it is proof you are divorced, and you need to produce the document in order to remarry. Ask to see his divorce decree. If it does not exist, then his marriage still does.
