American getting a divorce from a Mexican from Mexico?
My friend (An American) is trying to get a divorce from a woman he married years ago in mexico. He is american and he moved to mexico and married her, they legally separated and then he moved back here to the US. They have a daughter together. So what is the easiest, most financial-friendly way to get a divorce?
If she’s still in Mexico and he’s here, have him go to the public library and get a book called Do it yourself DIvorce. I’m pretty sure that’s the title. It gives you sample forms and he can basically fill in the blanks. Whatever the filing fee is in the county where he lives is one of the only costs he will incur. Good luck to your friend
