Life And Death Art
Life and Death artists?
I’m looking at life and death in art; any ideas of artists I could study ?
Maya Deren, Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock… any artists from the abstract expressionism movement… they are questioning the purpose of life. Some get stuck (Rothko) and some form a bridge (Maya Deren). Maya Deren was an experimental film artist but she was extremely significant to the movement.

You’ll be surprised at how many abstract expressionists came to a dead end and committed suicide.
