Why does Disney release a movie on DVD/Blu-ray only to put it “back in the vault” within a certain time?
I think it’s kind of obvious that people would be fooled into running out and purchasing the movie under the belief that there would be a limited quantity available, but is that the only reason? Does Disney have an answer to this? Is this naughty consumer manipulation that transparent or is there more to it?
Supply and Demand. If you say its for a limited time, everyone runs out and buys it.
