changing Belle to a boy in Beauty and the Beast the musical?
I love beauty and the beast and Belle is my favorite character (I personally think she has the best songs in the entire musical). If you changed Belle to a boy, Beast to a girl, and Gaston to a girl, do you think the musical would still be good. If you saw someone do a version like that, what would you think of it.
I love genderswap productions! If they are done well they are so much fun! I think it would be great. Beast might be an “ugly betty” who noone likes, Gaston the popular and pretty girl, etc. I think if done well it would be great!
Besides, genderswaps have been used in other shows too!
