I don’t understand why the line “once in college i dated a menora” from the “Beauty and the Beast” SNL skit?
Why is it funny? What is it supposed to mean? is it innuendo or somthing?

It’s funny because of the witty delivery. It’s unexpected. The concept of the skit changes the storyline of ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in that they’ve always been beasts, clocks, and candle stick holders. When humans refer to college, they reference being curious or mischievious. So when his uses the line, ‘Although one time in college I dated a menora’ it humanizes his character in an unexpected way. His delivery is the cherry on top.
