Beauty And The Beast 1991 Film
Has an animated film ever won an Academy Award for Best Picture?
Probably a stupid question, but I’m just curious. I know Beauty and the Beast was nominated in 1991, but that’s about it.
Snow White received a honarary Oscar back when it was released in 1937. Actually it was 1 regular sized Oscar trophey and 7 tiny ones that were supposed to represent the Dwarfs.. They were presented to Walt Disney by Shirley Temple.. Beauty and the Beast is the only animated movie to be nominated for Best Picture.. It however, lost to Silence of the Lambs.. Just an opinion but I think It should have won!
